April threatnes to be one of the best months for Xbox Live Gold members, as they are due double the number of free games this month. Come April, Xbox One owners will get access to 2 free games, while Xbox 360 would be getting 4 free games this month. Are you hyped up enough? Good lets see what games you can play for free this month on your Xbox.

Xbox One:

Microsoft’s current gen console has 2 brand new offerings to gamers this month. First up is:

Pool Nation FX

For all the pool enthusiast out there, Xbox One will be letting you play online or go solo on different tables, and different rules. A quirky table with quirky colors, Pool Nation FX offers something different from all the run and gun games out there.

Child Of Light

Child Of Light

The next game is the beautiful Ubisoft game, ‘Child Of Light’. Poetically scripted, colored by a paintbrush and inspired by various fairy tales, Child of Light is an RPG, which follows a young princess in a quest to reunite with her father. The game was critically well received, and was much loved by the gaming community too. So if you haven’t already tried it out, this game is a no-brainer.

Xbox 360:

April promises to be a bonanza month for Microsoft’s last gen console with as many as 4 free games available this month.

Think RPG done with  Minecraft in mind. Terraria is a RPG created in the 8 bit world with 8GB mechanics. In Terraria, players explore a randomized 2D world filled with monsters. Players must gather materials and use them to craft items that help them fend off these evils. They can also create buildings where NPC’s will settle to unlock new content. Eventually players acquire items that allow them to summon powerful boss enemies. There are no set objectives, though. You can choose how to spend your time in the game and that freedom is part of the reason for its smashing success.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Assassin’s Creed has become one of the most regular and episodic series that gamers have come to know. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag was touted as the next big thing in the series, letting the gamers take part in epic naval battles. As always the game offers hours upon hours of open world exploration, filled with side quests and activities. Set in the West Indies during the Pirate’s golden age, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is great go to game for most gamers.

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel

EA’s next installment in their Co-Op centric third person shooter, take you to Mexico. Enjoy couch co-op, online co-op or even solo play with a computer controlled player as you are put into a mission (you guessed it) to take out a drug cartel in Mexico. Army of Two is one of the few fun series which are co-op suited, and can provide hours of fun if you are willing to share the game time with a player of your choice.

Gears of War: Judgment

And finally this month, you can also download the prequel to the Gears of War trilogy. Gears Of War: Judgement focuses on Baird rather than Marcus Fenix, and is the latest game in the franchise. Another game that can be enjoyed with a co-op partner or in online multiplayer, Judgement is an often under-appreciated game in the series. You can own this game at the excellent price of FREE this month.

This has got to be the best Xbox Live Gold month since its inception. I urge you strongly to download everyone of these games. Just on the Xbox 360, the combined values of the games is in the range of Rs. 10,000. Its never been a better time than to be Xbox fan than April.
