I always wondered why Gearbox didn’t take the time to port over the first Borderlands along with Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel in the Handsome Collection for PS4 and Xbox. Well, looks like it’s finally coming together.

The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has today rated the title for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Furthermore, it clarifies the developer as Blind Squirrel Entertainment. It also states that  Blind Squirrel Entertainment would be developing the port/remaster/whatever you want to call it.

The original Borderlands was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in October 2009 and was a surprise hit, garnering praise from all over for its unique take on the fps genre as well as the tongue-in-cheek humor.

It remains to be seen if this is just another straight up port or an extended remaster.
