Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Developer Fatshark Acquires New Studio

It seems like that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 developer Fatshark has now begun to expand its business thanks to the excellent sales figures of the said game. In a recent press release, Fatshark has announced that they have purchased A Sweet Studio, whose employees will now be joining their ranks.

A Sweet Studio is a small, Stockholm-based developer, known for developing casual, titles for PC, Facebook, iOS, and Android such as Flower Pop Adventures, Scalpers, and One Final Chaos. According to Fatshark, the nine developers who previously worked at A Sweet Studio have moved into Fatshark’s Stockholm offices and are already beginning work on additional content for Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

“We are happy to announce that we have acquired A Sweet Studio, that has great experience and will hit the ground running today which is the first day at the Fatshark office,” said the CEO of Fatshark, Martin Wahlund.

A Sweet Studio’s CEO Gustav Lind seemed pretty enthusiastic in his own comment about the acquisition:

“It’s great to be a part of such a successful studio, and be working on a great IP such as Warhammer.”

While Fatshark now owns the right to A Swrrt Studios’ IPs, I’m glad to see that they’re focusing on developing additional content for Vermintide 2. And by God, they really need to. Hopefully, we’ll see a second DLC for Vermintide 2 very soon because the fanbase is still pissed at Fatshark for a bunch of development decisions I’d much rather talk about in a different article.

Til then, why not read our review for the excellent Warhammer: Vermintide 2 or its first DLC?
