It has been revealed that the 25 year old Richard “shox” Papillon is to undergo a surgery on a wrist problem later this month which ultimately led to him being replaced by Nathan ‘NBK-‘ Schmitt as the captain. shox has been moved to the inactive players pool and although the plan had been to move coach Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux in his place, they had been dismissed. Instead, young Óscar “mixwell” Cañellas, an ex-candidate and former member of OpTic has been put to trial to fill the vacancy left by the enthusiastic French player.
However, current G2 in-game leader, Nathan ‘NBK-‘ Schmitt, has released a statement covering the subject of the unforeseen recruitment of an ex-OpTic member and shox’s sudden disappearance. He states that shox‘s wrist operation had nothing to do with the switch over and that it was simply shox‘s wish to change the line-up which ultimately led to his removal.
“shox wanted to make drastic changes to the roster, and the team did not really want to make changes, so he decided himself that he did not want to try me out as in-game leader,” NBK- said.
“This decision has nothing to do with the surgery.”
What I meant to say is that shox will never comeback to this line up. He may still play for G2 in the future though.

After the announcement, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire responded with a tweet that said, “was not coming back to the team” which mysteriously enough, had been deleted shortly afterwards. Later he made a second tweet saying that shox will never come back to the lineup and that he may still play for G2 in the future.
