Okami HD System Requirements Revealed

Capcom announced some time ago that the HD remaster of the cult classic PS2 title, Okami is making it’s way to current gen systems; it’s finally here (and for the first time as well) on the ‘master platform’, that is PC.

The Indian pricing for Okami HD is INR 1,990 which is pretty damn steep considering that this is a port of the PS3 remaster that came out in 2012; for comparison, Bayonetta and Vanquish both also released for PC earlier this year, but cost just INR 565. It will be released on December 12th, that’s next month.

Capcom has also released the system requirements of the game which are as follows:

MINIMUM:

    • OS: WINDOWS 7 SP1, 8.1, 10 (64-BIT Required)
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500,3.3GHz
    • Memory: 2 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 34 GB available space

These requirements are far below average and most entry level GPUs from 5 years back should be able to run it without much problem. No AMD CPU/GPU counterparts have been given, but with the internet at hand most people can gauge which AMD CPU/GPU they will need. The storage space requirement is much larger than the remastered PS3 release (which was just 6.3 GB) but again, it’s a given that they’ve added enhanced visual settings for the PC version (not to mention 4K support).

RECOMMENDED:

    • OS: WINDOWS 7 SP1, 8.1, 10 (64-BIT Required)
    • Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 34 GB available space

And people, this is how we go from low CPU requirements all the way to i7s. Quite baffling honestly, is this a rushed portjob, Capcom? If that’s the case, it’s likely a deal breaker for many, and the ridiculous price doesn’t help either.
