Ahhh the good old microsoft E3….where microsoft showcases the latest technology and amazing games year after year, and it didn’t dissapoint us this time around either…

NEW FEATURES

XBOX ANYWHERE

One of the most exciting features, and something that I believe SHOULD pave the way for other companies as well. The XBOX Anywhere feature implies that the said game shall be playable on both the XBOX ONE as well as the PC (Windows 10), and cross platform gaming (yayy) will also be enabled between these devices. Also, if you buy the game on the Xbox One, you will have it on the PC as well, and the game will record your achievements and saves, and you can play on whatever you wish to play on, and it will progress from your last save made on any of the two devices!

MULTIPLAYER FEATURES

Microsoft also unveiled three new multiplayer features and I’m sure they’re gonna come in handy!

  • Clubs: You can create and be a part of multiple communities of whatever you wish, like minecraft architects, The Division Players, etc.
  • Looking For Group:It’s the multiplayer equivalent of a Wanted ad, where you can specify the kind of players you wish to team up with, and interested players will contact you.
  • Arena: It’s a tournament system, where you can register and compete for tournaments while sitting in the comfortable confines of your own home.

Also, Background music playing, Language Region Independence and Cortana were told to be added soon to the XBOX ONE….

Design-Your-Own Xbox One Controller

You can now design your own Xbox One Controllers in any colour combination you choose! You can  even change the outer and inner colours of the A,B,X,Y buttons! There are around 8 million combinations you could choose from! That’s not all, you can have it with your name written on it too!

GAMES

The games microsoft released this time around were pretty amazing *cough**cough*…battlefield 1…*cough*…..

Gears of War 4

This was something tons of GOW fans were waiting for and we loved the gameplay! Horde Mode 3.0 was Confirmed as well! The Fan favorite game mode was announced alongside news of Xbox Play Anywhere cross play. The Co-op Campaign Borrows the Best of Earlier Entries and we saw the story mode with classic Gears single-player, complete with cover-shooting and chainsaw kills! And to top it all off,Gears of War 4 is Getting a Special-Edition Xbox One Elite Controller! It looked pretty cool and is available for preorder now.

Sea Of Thieves

Now this was one of my favourite game displays in the XBOX E3, and the gameplay was pretty cool! Imagine teaming up with a bunch of friends in search for treasure and controlling small actions of a pirate ship to set sail on an amazing adventure! And all this while battling other ships!

Scalebound

This was one game I was super-excited about, but I don’t think the gameplay trailer, which showed a multiplayer boss battle, lived up to the hype. The trailer showed a super-huge crab monster fighting the protagonist and his dragon along with other players and their respective dragons, and it wasn’t THAT bad, but I expected a bit more…

Recore

This was another one that I was hyped about, and I’m happy to say that the glimpse I saw exceeded expectations! The trailer introduced the different kind of bots you’ll be commanding as Joule, the games protagonist, and it was epic as HELL! The trailer was awesome, but the music was AMAZING!!

BTW the songs name is MSTR Rogers – I’ll take you, thank me later.

Final Fantasy XV

I’m not much of a final fantasy fan, but the combat mechanism in this one looked good and the trailer had pretty awesome music too! (though it sounded a lot like skyrim…) The gameplay trailer showed the games protagonist battling a really huge stone titan (and the guy playing it kinda sucked).

Dead Rising 4

This one was a hilarious trailer showing frank celebrate christmas in the only way he knows how to….by BRUTALLY SLAYING HORDES OF ZOMBIES!! Not only that, but he’s also shown uploading images and videos of him smashing the HELL out of the zombies onto online social media sites!

Forza Horizon 3

What is it with Microsoft games and Great trailer music? The trailer for forza horizon 3 was awesome, and the graphics looked mind-blowing, this is one racing game I’m gonna watch out for!

Music by Ursine Vulpine ft Annaca- Wicked game.

Halo Wars 2

I loved the first part of the game, and the trailer for this one straight up gave me goosebumps! Lets hope this one lives up to the hype as well…

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game

The card game for Witcher 3 is being released as a game for the XBOX ONE and the PC! The game looked pretty interesting and It looks like a pretty strategic and mind-bending game.

State of Decay 2

The sequel to the well recieved State of Decay, the trailer was nice and it showed that the game will be a bit closer to reality that dead rising 4 atleast!

Minecraft

Minecraft announced it’s “friendly update” which brings in the concept of realms, which any player can join in, no matter the platform he’s playing in. The thing I found the coolest though was the VR demonstration of the game, I can’t wait to try it! That said, this presentation was probably one of the most cringe worthy stuff I’ve ever seen….

INSIDE and ID@XBOX

The successor to limbo, there’s not much we got to know about INSIDE from the trailer, but I have a feeling its gonna be awesome. Also, it was announced that limbo will now be free for XBOX ONE users!

Another thing unveiled side by side with INSIDE was ID@XBOX, the subdivision of XBOX handling Independent Game developement. It’ll be exciting to see all the indie titles coming out on XBOX!

Killer Instinct

The popular XBOX title “Killer Instinct” Gets the Gears of War Character General RAAM This Week. Also, RAAM will be available to play for free this week.

The Division Update

The “Underground” dlc was announced by the ubi team and it looked pretty cool. The best part is that it comes with randomly generated missions! BTW this one had awesome music too!

Music: missile by Dorothy.

Tekken 7

A pure Japanese trailer, it was a pretty cool display of the new gameplay they’ll be implementing in the 7th installment of the hit franchise. Also, the anime-watcher inside me felt SO much at peace while watching this one…

We Happy Few

This trailer confused me a bit at first, but it turned out to be so horrifying later on when I realized what it was about! So there are these people who take these “happy pills” and hallucinate about stuff. It basically sugarcoats everything…..WAY….TOO….MUCH….

Battlefield 1

And finally…the game I was waiting to see…though it’s trailer was already revealed in the EA E3 briefing, it was nice to see it again. It was revealed that XBOX ONE players will get access to the new WW1 shooter starting on October 13. The game launches to the public on October 21, or October 18 if you choose to buy a deluxe edition.

It’s unclear how much play time this EA Access trial version will provide players with, but it’s typically in the neighborhood of 10 hours…

And HERE we have the Games Montage that microsoft always displays at the end of its event:

HARDWARE

Finally the most epic part of the event was the crazy hardware we were hinted/shown….

XBOX ONE S

At the very beginning of the event, microsoft unveiled its new XBOX ONE variant, the XBOX ONE SLIM or XBOX ONE S. This console is 40% smaller, has upto 2 TB internal HDD and supports 4K gaming!

PROJECT SCORPIO

And FINALLY…the thing I was the most HYPED about, whose glimpse we were given by XBOX chief Phil Spencer, who showed us glimpses of a beast which I expect to redefine console gaming as a whole. Project Scorpio will support VR and 6 teraflops of graphics computing power! It’s set to release next year!

So there you have it. Everything that has happened in the Microsoft’s E3 event! If you’re half as excited as I am for the stuff anounced, do let us know in the comments below!
