Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gets Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

Microsoft’s  Director of Programming for Xbox Live, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb has announced that the 2011’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility.

The single-player campaign concludes the trilogy hunt for the Russian terrorist Makarov as he ignites tensions with a series of attacks throughout Europe. The series’ trademark multiplayer also returned with new game modes such cooperative play and wave-based survival mode.

 Owners of the original can hop over to their Xbox One and start playing. The game is also available now for $29.99 at the Microsoft Store. If you’re an Xbox Live Gold susbscriber, the game can be prchased for $14.99, thanks to the Gold sale.
